There are plenty of people who will say that their mid-level appliances are just as good as their high-end appliances.
Well, it’s just not true, according to a new report by Lowe’s.
The report, “Mid-Range Appliances: The Best of the Best,” has revealed that some people are still getting more than their fair share of quality from their mid and high-level appliance lines.
The company found that for the third straight year, only one in six consumers with a mid or high-range product received more than 40% of the sales price of the highest-priced product.
And, as with any brand-new report, the numbers may not be what you were expecting.
In fact, the majority of the lowest-priced products in the survey were not even as good or even comparable as the highest.
The bottom line?
It’s not that you’re getting less quality, but you’re paying for less quality.
Lowe’s found that in 2016, half of all mid- and high level appliances received less than 40%, while only half of the high- and mid-priced models received less.
Lowes report also revealed that the majority (58%) of consumers had more than 50% of their total spending on mid- or high level accessories, compared to 34% of high- or mid-end customers.
As you might imagine, there are some caveats to the survey, but for the most part, the findings are consistent with other studies and research that has found that mid- level and high end customers are spending more on high-quality accessories, which is good news for your home.
